DISTRICT ATTORNEY VERN PIERSON APPLAUDS JAMIE PESCE'S APPOINTMENT TO THE EL DORADO SUPERIOR COURT
Please join us in
congratulating Lead Deputy District Attorney Jamie Pesce on her appointment to
the El Dorado County Superior Court as a Superior Court Judge.
Ms. Pesce was born and raised in El Dorado County and graduated from Ponderosa High School. Ms. Pesce earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
After passing the State Bar exam, Ms. Pesce became a sole practitioner and a research attorney at Orion Outdoor Media. In 2005, Ms. Pesce joined the El Dorado District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney. Over the course of her career as a prosecutor, Ms. Pesce has successfully handled some of our most serious cases, including murder, rape, child molest and domestic violence. She has earned a reputation as a tough but fair prosecutor and is well respected by her peers and the bench.
"Although Ms. Pesce's departure is a loss for our office, I am confident that the same dedication to public service that made her a great Deputy District Attorney will serve her well in the next stage of her career. On behalf of her friends and colleagues here at the District Attorney's Office, I wish Ms. Pesce the best in her new endeavors as a Superior Court Judge."
