Felony Domestic Violence Conviction for Wesley Aaron Gibson

On December 4, 2017, Wesley Aaron Gibson pleaded no contest to a felony violation of Penal Code § 273.5(a), corporal injury to a spouse resulting in a traumatic condition, as well as a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code § 273a(b), child endangerment, stemming from a domestic violence incident that occurred on August 18, 2017.

During that incident, the defendant shoved his girlfriend into the side of a bed frame causing her tooth to go through her lip as well as a black eye. The defendant then proceeded to kick the victim several times while she was on the ground leading to bruising all over her body. When the victim was finally able to leave the residence, the defendant grabbed a shotgun and threatened to commit suicide. The victim's three young children were present in the home during this incident. 

The defendant was sentenced to 210 days in the county jail and will be on probation for a period of five years.
