This year's Internship Program in the District Attorney's Office was a huge success! The interns were comprised of both college students and seniors in high school. These enterprising young volunteers helped scan and organize files, and assisted investigators, attorneys, and support staff. Not only did they gain insight into the criminal justice system, but also provided assistance with various helpful and essential tasks of our office.

The group of volunteers also got an important and fun lesson on gun safety as they participated in a range day with the District Attorney's Office, DA Investigator Mike Franzen, El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jason Bloxsom, and the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Explorers. The interns worked closely with Special Investigator Craig Hellberg, who along with District Attorney Vern Pierson, were both very grateful to have such a dedicated group of volunteers.
